Our Values & Beliefs

Love

God

As followers of Jesus, we are called to wholeheartedly love God with all aspects of our being—our heart, mind, and strength. This fundamental pursuit shapes our beliefs, and we are committed to offering various opportunities for individuals to deepen their love for God through worship, prayer, study, and service.

Love

Others

As disciples of Jesus, we are called to emulate His example by loving others unconditionally. Our belief in this principle guides our actions and interactions within our community and beyond. We are committed to fostering an environment of compassion, kindness, and empathy where everyone feels valued and supported.

Make

Disciples

As disciples of Jesus, we are commissioned to share His message of love and redemption with others. We believe in the importance of making disciples—mentoring and guiding others on their spiritual journey. Through teaching, mentoring, and serving, we strive to equip individuals to become faithful followers of Christ who, in turn, share His love with others.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Matthew 28:19-20

Statement of Beliefs

WE BELIEVE in one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

WE BELIEVE that human beings are born with a fallen nature, and are, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.

WE BELIEVE that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.

WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.

WE BELIEVE that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.

WE BELIEVE that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.

WE BELIEVE that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.

What is a Nazarene church?

The Church of the Nazarene is the largest denomination in the classical Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. The doctrine that the Church of the Nazarene and other Wesleyan denominations is known for is that of entire sanctification. Nazarenes believe that God calls Christians to a life of holy living that is marked by an act of God, cleansing the heart from original sin and filling the individual with love for God and humankind.
