Life is Messy.

Let’s be honest, we’re all messy people living in a messy world, and here at KNaz, we understand that. We are messy people with messy stories, and to some degree or another, still living messy lives. Thankfully, God, who cares deeply for all people, loves us and walks with us in and through our messiness.

However Jesus Christ doesn’t want to leave us in our mess. He desires the best for our lives – to reach our potential in Him. At KNaz, we believe in the transforming power of God’s amazing grace, love, and truth. We are ordinary people with extraordinary stories of how God works in our messiness to create wholeness, peace and purpose.

Messy or not, all are welcome at Klamath Nazarene! Yes, there is room for you at the table. Hope to see you soon!

Welcome!

Welcome to Klamath Nazarene! I’m Pastor Chad, and I’m delighted to meet you. At KNAZ, we’re doing our best to Love God, Love Others, and Make Disciples who follow Jesus Christ. We are a friendly community who will welcome you and endeavor to make your visit a positive experience. We believe everyone has value and is welcome to worship God. As the pastor, my primary concern is that you attend a church where you will encounter Jesus and have the opportunity to grow in faith, love, and Christlikeness. So, whether you are merely visiting or looking for a place of worship to settle into, I hope we can be a part of your journey.

I look forward to meeting you!

In Christ,
Pastor Chad Wintringham | Senior Pastor

What does the worship service look like?2024-09-19T23:39:08+00:00
A typical worship service begins with an opening song.  This is to let everyone know we’re starting.  After this, Pastor Chad, or another pastor, will welcome you.  We usually engage in a form of liturgy by saying aloud, “Christ has come.  Christ has died.  Christ is risen.  Christ will come again.”
Next comes the Call to Worship.  A preselected person will read Scripture as a means to help us focus on Jesus.
Then we’ll sing 3-4 songs of praise and worship.  During the first song, people will have an opportunity to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings.
The next part is often flexible.  After the songs, the pastor will sometimes pray or give opportunity for testimonies or gather people to pray for specific needs.
Next is the sermon.  Pastor Chad, or a guest speaker, will provide 25-35 minutes of biblical teaching.
We typically end no later than 12pm.
The first Sunday of every month we include a children’s moment.  We call all children to the stage for a special lesson just for them.
The last Sunday of every month we celebrate Communion (Eucharist).
Children’s Ministry:2024-09-20T20:14:22+00:00
We love children here at KNAZ and want the best for your children.  Because of that, we are in the process of restructuring our children’s ministry for greater effectiveness and safety.  Please be patient with us as we are in transition.
We currently have Sunday school classes for all children.
During worship services, however, we do ask all children to stay with their “adults.”
Bible Quizzing
We do provide a children’s Bible Quizzing program.  For more information about this, please contact our office.  You can read more about Quizzing at https://www.thefoundrypublishing.com/catalog/product/view/id/5437.
What is a Nazarene church?2024-09-19T23:15:27+00:00
The Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant Church, adhering to core doctrines of the Judeo-Christian faith.  We are also a global Church and the largest denomination in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition.  The key doctrine of Wesleyan denominations is entire sanctification.  We believe God wants a family – a human family.  He calls His family to live a holy life, free from sin, and wholly devoted to Jesus Christ.  Entire sanctification is an act of God, through faith, by which He cleanses us from the power of sin and enables us to love Him and people as Christ would.
Here’s the caveat.  Entire sanctification doesn’t make anyone perfect, better, “holier than thou,” or sinless.  What it does, however, is empowers the follower of Jesus to sin less, love more, and live in humility.  It is a journey toward living as Jesus would have us live.
Furthermore, you will discover that the Nazarene Church is a large family.  You can go almost anywhere in the world and find a local Nazarene congregation who will welcome you as a friend, brother, or sister.

What do I wear?2024-09-16T05:18:24+00:00

We’re a casual, come-as-you-are church. Dress comfortably—there’s no specific dress code.

Will you single me out as a new visitor?2024-06-01T07:22:38+00:00

We understand that visiting a new church can be intimidating. While we want to warmly welcome you, we won’t single you out during the service. Feel free to fill out a connection card so we can follow up with you and answer any questions.
