Have Questions?

What kind of music and message can I expect?2024-09-16T05:17:10+00:00

You can expect a mix of contemporary music and traditional hymns. The messages are Bible-centered, authentic, challenging, and applicable, with occasional moments for reflection or Q&A. We sometimes adjust our service to attend to prayer and testimony needs.

Do I need to know anything about God or church to attend?2024-09-16T05:17:31+00:00

Absolutely not! KNaz welcomes everyone, regardless of their level of knowledge or experience with God and church, making our community an inclusive and inviting space for individuals at all points on their spiritual journey.

Will I have someone knocking on my door after I visit?2024-06-01T11:09:07+00:00

No, we respect your privacy, and you won’t have anyone knocking on your door after your visit, unless you specifically request further contact. However, we’d love to welcome you back to our church community whenever you’re ready.

When I attend, do you have a place for my kids?2024-09-16T05:15:40+00:00

Absolutely! At Klamath Falls Church of the Nazarene, we provide children with a welcoming and secure environment. Children are a big part of our community! We offer a nursery downstairs for infants and toddlers, and children usually stay with the adults during the service until they are dismissed for Children’s Church after worship.

What does the worship service look like?2024-09-19T23:39:08+00:00
A typical worship service begins with an opening song.  This is to let everyone know we’re starting.  After this, Pastor Chad, or another pastor, will welcome you.  We usually engage in a form of liturgy by saying aloud, “Christ has come.  Christ has died.  Christ is risen.  Christ will come again.”
Next comes the Call to Worship.  A preselected person will read Scripture as a means to help us focus on Jesus.
Then we’ll sing 3-4 songs of praise and worship.  During the first song, people will have an opportunity to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings.
The next part is often flexible.  After the songs, the pastor will sometimes pray or give opportunity for testimonies or gather people to pray for specific needs.
Next is the sermon.  Pastor Chad, or a guest speaker, will provide 25-35 minutes of biblical teaching.
We typically end no later than 12pm.
The first Sunday of every month we include a children’s moment.  We call all children to the stage for a special lesson just for them.
The last Sunday of every month we celebrate Communion (Eucharist).
What is a Nazarene church?2024-09-19T23:15:27+00:00
The Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant Church, adhering to core doctrines of the Judeo-Christian faith.  We are also a global Church and the largest denomination in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition.  The key doctrine of Wesleyan denominations is entire sanctification.  We believe God wants a family – a human family.  He calls His family to live a holy life, free from sin, and wholly devoted to Jesus Christ.  Entire sanctification is an act of God, through faith, by which He cleanses us from the power of sin and enables us to love Him and people as Christ would.
Here’s the caveat.  Entire sanctification doesn’t make anyone perfect, better, “holier than thou,” or sinless.  What it does, however, is empowers the follower of Jesus to sin less, love more, and live in humility.  It is a journey toward living as Jesus would have us live.
Furthermore, you will discover that the Nazarene Church is a large family.  You can go almost anywhere in the world and find a local Nazarene congregation who will welcome you as a friend, brother, or sister.

What do I wear?2024-09-16T05:18:24+00:00

We’re a casual, come-as-you-are church. Dress comfortably—there’s no specific dress code.

Are you affiliated with a denomination?2024-06-01T11:12:43+00:00

Yes, KNaz is proudly affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene, a global Christian denomination that follows the teachings of Jesus Christ and is committed to making a positive impact in communities worldwide.
